A little while ago, I began tossing around the idea of starting a personal blog. I never followed up on the thought, and forgot about it until recently. Then the other day I was catching up on reading a journal written by a talented American singer-songwriter who goes by the name of Jason Mraz – perhaps you’ve heard of him. Mr. A-Z writes about ordinary things, from riding his scooter, to community, to surfing the waves; but he writes it with such witty and mesmerizing language that I keep coming back for more. After reading his latest post, I felt inspired to finally get going on my own personal blog, or public journal if you will.
So let me tell you a little bit about myself so you can get a sense of who I am and where my voice is coming from. I’m a full-time college student making my way towards my professional degree, a part-time worker, and an everyday commuter. While my blog is called MyDailyCityLife, it is not entirely aptly named. I live in a rather suburban town, and commute daily into the city for work and school. However, I grew up in the city and 90% of my day is spent in the city.
This blog is my outlet for chronicling my every day life; and I hope you can relate to some of the things I say. If you like what you see, I hope you stick around for the ride.
