On a recent trip to Hershey Park and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, I encountered everything from dancing chocolate bars, to singing cows, to good ole Honest Abe. I thought I’d share some pictures from my adventures with you:
> Hershey Park, Pennsylvania
The first order of business at Hershey Park was to determine which candy bar I was! There were several candy bars, each of which corresponded to a different height range. Each ride in the park had a list of the candy bars that were tall enough to ride. At 4’11”, I was a twizzler =)
While I didn’t partake in any of the children’s rides, I did embark on two trolley and train rides that circled around the park, narrating different sites, including the one and only Hershey Chocolate Factory:
These pictures were taken from the top of the Kissing Tower ride – a large Hershey Kisses-shaped cabin that ascends 250 feet in the air and rotates to allow for an all-around view.
Me failing to pretend to rest my arm on the seat
I’m not one for pictures, but if you read my Beauty Blogger Award post, you’ll know that I fancy pigs of all shapes and sizes. On the side of the Rolling Rovers children’s ride, I saw this little guy and nearly died from excitement. For this adorable little oinker, I had to have my picture taken.
Adjacent to Hershey Park was Hershey’s Chocolate World. To be honest, as a young adult, I found Chocolate World to be more entertaining than Hershey Park. Hershey Park is great for families with children – it has children’s rides, family rides, and a water park. Chocolate World is great for all ages, offering a tour inside a mock Hershey chocolate factory, a trolley tour around the area, and the opportunity to create your own chocolate bar.
Inside the “create your own chocolate bar” factory…was I allowed to take pictures in there? =/

Giant book. Must. Take. Picture.
Me trying hard not to fall off the canon
Random fact: we went to Chocolate World and Gettysburg on two different days. When we went to Chocolate World, I saw a fellow traveler wearing the same exact dress that I had worn to Gettysburg the day before. Good thing I wore my outfits in the order I did. What a fashion faux pas!
