Brows frame and define your face, and for that reason, brow products are one area of my makeup routine that I hesitate to take chances with. My go-to brow products for the past year or so have come from the Anastasia makeup line, from which I have tried the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil and the Anastasia Brow Definer pencil.
Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil
I first tried the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil, based on recommendations from beauty gurus all across YouTube. As I mentioned in my empties post several months ago, I fell in love with this eyebrow pencil. It has a thin tip that allows you to be very precise in filling in your brows.
I have thick, black eyebrows, and these work great for me, but I can see how these would also be great for those with thin, light brows, because of how thin and fine the pencil tip is. For my dark, black brows, I’ve used and liked both the medium brown and dark brown shades.
Anastasia Brow Definer Pencil
Having loved and repurchased the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil so many times, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the Brow Definer – a brow pencil with a much thicker, triangular shaped tip.
While I still love the brow wiz pencil to bits, I think I may actually prefer the Brow Definer! As I mentioned, I have quite the thick, dark pair of eyebrows, and I just feel that the thick tip of the brow definer compliments my brows better. I find that I go through the Brow Wiz pencils much more quickly because I have to use so much more of it, since it has a thinner tip. With the Brow Definer, a couple swipes and I’m good to go! I didn’t count the days, but it felt like the Brow Definer lasted longer for me than the Brow Wiz.
As with the Brow Wiz pencil, for my thick, dark, black brows, I use the shade dark brown in the Brow Definer as well.
