It’s that awkward time of year when mornings are colder and crisper, but midday brings sunshine and summer temperatures. I’ve loved seeing all the autumn hues and chunky knits coming into stores, but how do you incorporate autumn into your wardrobe when midday temperatures still reach 90 degrees some days?
I recently ordered this ribbed half-sleeve top from Express in a beautiful, autumnal brown shade.
To make it appropriate to wear in 80-90 degree weather, I paired it with a cream colored knee-length skirt from my summer work wardrobe. The cream and brown go great together, the golden brown shade makes me feel very autumnal, and the skirt keeps me from looking crazy when it gets boiling hot at lunchtime.
I ordered this top in size XXSP in the shade “saddle,” and the fit is comfortable – not too tight, not too loose. In terms of length, tops that are 20″-22″ hit me at my hip bone, and this top goes well over my hip bone and the top of the bum. Normally, I prefer my tops not to be that long, but in this case, the length is nice for fully tucking into a skirt like this, or for a semi-tuck into work pants.

Oh you’re so right about that awkward in-between weather, but love the outfit you put together especially that top.
Thank you!! While I do love summer fashion as well, I’m definitely looking forward to full-on autumn weather so I can really embrace fall fashion. Thank you so much for checking out my posts!
