Have you ever been sucked in by an ad on the internet? I haven’t. That is, until I saw this ad for a gorgeous turtleneck sweater from Chicwish and pounced.
If you were to scroll through my pins on Pinterest, you’d notice a theme: neutral-on-neutral outfits. I love outfits that mix and match cream, beige, brown, and black. Some may say denim and leopard print can also be considered neutrals, and you’d definitely see those elements in my pins as well.
As I mentioned, I came across an ad for Chicwish for this off-white turtleneck sweater with a thin black grid design, and immediately fell in love with the neutral-on-neutral color scheme.
In addition to the chic neutral colors, I loved the boxy fit, the loose turtleneck, and the contrasting color and texture of the sleeves when cuffed. For this post, I styled it with black ponte pants, but I would also style this sweater with brown or rust colored pants.
I’ve never purchased anything from Chicwish before, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this sweater. It was heavy duty, thick, warm, and cozy. In terms of fit, this sweater came in size S-M and L-XL. As a small petite person who consistently orders size XXS/XS, I was very hesitant to order a size S-M, especially for a boxy fit. While there’s definitely room to spare, because it’s meant to be a relaxed, boxy fit, it actually fit just fine.
There’s a relaxed, elasticated band at the bottom which I tucked underneath. For reference, tops that are about 22″-23″ hit me where this sweater hits me when I tuck the elasticated band underneath. Personally for me, the neck and sleeves looked awkward uncuffed, so I chose to roll both.
