Have you ever seen those Instagram vs. reality photos? This is my version of that, but with blog post vs. reality. This is a pretty typical work outfit for me in the fall and winter: a turtleneck tucked into a skirt or pants, with boots or flats, respectively. I’ve worn this particular outfit several times before without fail. In the name of trying to make use out of things in my closet that I haven’t worn in a while, I brought out these beautiful little loafer flats I’ve had since college.
Blog post vs. reality | In the picture, I’m smiling, everything looks good, everything looks put together, and I’m quite pleased with how well these loafers go with this outfit. Go me! In reality, after only a few hours on my feet at work, my feet were wailing in pain! It’s funny because I owned a black pair of these loafer flats, which I very quickly got soaked in the rain one day, and they became one of the most comfortable pair of black flats I’ve ever owned. Maybe my feet have gotten swollen from the recent years of standing on my feet all day. Or maybe the trick is to get these soaked in the rain too!
I wore my Harry Potter snitch necklace that I bought from my recent trip to Universal Studios (see blog post here) and every time I look down at work, I’m reminded of what a great time we had, and it makes me smile =)
