It’s been a long time since I’ve set foot in a shopping mall. As a petite woman, I just find that there are so many more sizing options online. Post-Christmas, however, I found myself at the mall returning things. Among many other stores, we stopped by H&M, where I found this tulle polka dot skirt in a sea of polka dotted items.
At first sight, a tulle skirt might seem scary or impractical. Where would you where it? Is it too much? Is it too fancy? Today, I want to share with you 3 ways I would wear this tulle skirt, and for 3 separate occasions, simply by changing out the shoes.
With Combat Boots for Casual Wear
For casual daytime wear, I would throw on a pair of combat boots. The flat boot style would keep me comfortable, and my ankles would be warm in the winter. I quite like the juxtaposition of the grungy combat boots with the femininity of the tulle skirt.
With Flats for Work
Depending on where you work, this may or may not be appropriate. I have a little wiggle room with my work attire (I can’t wear jeans, but I don’t need to wear suits either), so I can get away with this one.
With Heels for Fancy Occasions
Lastly, for a more formal occasion, simply pop on a pair of heels for an all over dainty look!
And Over All these Outfits…
This oversized peacoat has been so handy ever since I got it as a Christmas gift. It’s the coat I reach for any time I want to wear a long skirt or dress in the winter.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the different ways I would wear a tulle skirt. Are you into all things polka dot like I am? I’ve heard that polka dots are a “trend” for 2020. Is it just me, or have polka dots always been an adorable, lovable print? It’s odd to hear it called a “trend”!

Thanks for reading!
Love the combat boots with the feminine skirt, that look would also be hella cute with a white tee!
Yeeesss!! I’m definitely going to try that look when it gets warmer out!
