Do you have split identities when it comes to fashion?
One thing I’ve worked hard on throughout 2019 was to build a more cohesive wardrobe. I wanted each item in my closet to work with more than one other item. When it comes to fashion, I find inspiration in so many different styles, which makes it difficult to be cohesive.
This Chala crossbody pig purse from Amazon was a birthday present from my sister for my 28th birthday. Ever since I was a wee one, I’ve loved pigs. My bedroom used to be filled with stuffed pigs.

Split Identities…
Looking at my closet, my work wardrobe occupies the left side, while my casual wardrobe occupies the right side. The left side is feminine and ladylike – skirts, dresses, chic neutrals, and cinched-waist silhouettes. The right side has a more youthful feel – leggings, sweatshirts, slip-ons, sneakers, and trendier silhouettes. This Chala pig purse fits into my casual wardrobe, but is sorely out of place in my work wardrobe.
As I get closer and closer to 30, occasionally I find myself wondering when it’ll be time to let go of some of some of my more youthful pieces. Will there come a time when I should focus my attention on more adult, ladylike inspirations?
Right now, I’m quite comfortable juggling two fashion identities, in and out of work. At work, I’ll be mature and ladylike. Outside of work, I’ll rock my pig purse.
Amazon Chala Pig Purse
Initially, I had my doubts about how versatile this purse would be with my wardrobe. Surprisingly, I’ve found myself reaching for this purse on several occasions since my birthday, and it’s only been a few weeks! The color comes up brighter on camera, but in person it’s a muted plum shade. The muted plum shade pairs well with all the olive, cream, and brown items in my wardrobe.
Inside, the lining is brown with teal polka dots all over. If you’ve been reading my past blog posts, you’ll know I have an obsession with polka dots. Personally, I believe the inside of a purse is just as important as the outside. It’s so disappointing to open a beautiful purse to find plain, boring lining.
For size reference, this purse is big enough to comfortably fit my phone, which is an iPhone 11 Pro Max. There is an open compartment in the front and back of the purse. Inside, there are 3 card slots, as well as a zippered pocket.
This purse comes in so many different shades and prints, so if you like this purse, but pigs aren’t your love, there are many other options to choose from!
