I’ve been obsessed with lemon print lately (see my lemon print Converse here). Today I wanted to share a review of this lemon print top from Reformation, and how Reformation sizing fits on petites.
What I Was Looking For
I’ve been rebuilding my work wardrobe for spring, and needed a few blouses to fill the gaps in my wardrobe. For versatility, I wanted a blouse that I could wear with both pants and skirts. For practicality, I wanted a blouse that did not tucking. My job involves lots of movement, and I could imagine the frustration of constantly tucking my blouse in. I had some long sleeve blouses for the winter to spring transition, but needed some short sleeve blouses for the spring to summer transition. In terms of print, something springy would be lovely, but nothing so bold I couldn’t repeat it often.
Size & Fit
Reformation offers a limited selection of pieces in petite sizing. However, I’ve purchased a few pieces from Reformation in regular sizing that have all fit fine. I purchased this lemon top in size 0 regular (petite sizing not available).
The top fit beautifully! For reference, I am 4’11” with a 24″ waist, and tops that are 22″-23″ are hip-length on me. There’s a zipper that zips up the back. Once zipped, the bust and torso fit snugly.
For my body size, I have a large chest, and I filled the bust completely. This top is 100% viscose, which means it’s a flowy material. If you’re on the thinner side and have a smaller chest, I imagine the chest might be loose. On the other hand, if you have a larger chest, this blouse is borderline too low. At eye-level, it just covers the top of my strapless bra. Keep in mind that as a petite, most people are taller and are looking down at you…
I’ve noticed that many Reformation tops have bust cups, or an under-bust seam. As someone with a large chest, this is unfortunate, as my chest can’t fit in these pieces. When I found this lemon top, I couldn’t tell from the pictures if there were bust cups. This blouse does NOT have bust cups.
