Alright, I’ve digested the heaps of food I ate, and I’m ready to chat. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, however you were able to spend the day. We gathered at my mom’s house this year, and had a cultural mix of foods – the traditional turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, with batches upon batches of egg rolls. My mom makes the hands down best egg rolls on earth. I’m salivating as I write this.
As an Asian family, we never used to celebrate Thanksgiving. But several years ago, my uncle came to visit from Vietnam, and we wanted to show him a “traditional” Thanksgiving in America, so we bought all the traditional foods. And ever since then, we’ve had turkey for Thanksgiving.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m getting ready to pack my FRIENDS turkey tea towel away, and wrapping up my list of to dos for the end of the year. I’m aaaalmost done with my Christmas shopping, although I took a detour on Cyber Monday and did some serious damage for myself…woops. I’m hoping to share the pieces I picked up in the upcoming weeks, so keep an eye out if you feel like seeing a haul!
What I Wore:
Apart from the stress of holiday shopping, I’m trying to finish all my required CEs (continuing education) before the end of the year to renew my license. I loved school when I was in school, but honestly, it’s so hard to motivate myself to keep learning through CEs. Every year I procrastinate, and then panic come December.
There’s lots happening in the next few weeks, but I’m still planning on having a blog post for you next Friday, which will likely be a review of Betabrand. A Cyber Monday haul is also in the works, as my packages trickle in, so follow the blog if you’re interested in seeing these soon!
. . . .
Thanks for reading!
Good luck with your CEs! The food looks delicious and I’m glad you had a good holiday!
Thank you so much! How was your Thanksgiving?
