And I’m back! I took a much needed week off from work, and in the true spirit of doing nothing, I also skipped my weekly blog post. My vacation coincided with my 29th birthday and my husband’s birthday just four days later. For my birthday, my sister gave me a pair of leopard Vans slip-ons, and I adore them! I’ve had leopard sneakers/slip-ons on my wishlist for several years, and finally found an affordable version I wanted to try from DSW.
I think the leopard print looks super chic with black angle grazers, but you can also pair them with blue jeans for a more laid back casual look. I went with gray on top for both outfits; but white, cream, or black would also be nice neutrals to pair with leopard. If I were heading out the door, I’d pop my olive green parka or black puffer coat over top.
Size & Fit
In terms of sizing, I’m wearing size 2 here, and I’d say they run a half size small. I’m typically a size 2 in kids’ shoes, but with thick socks, these were far too snug. To comfortably wear thick socks, I would probably need a 2.5. The problem is: these don’t come in half sizes. Womp womp. The only pair of size 3 shoes I’ve ever owned is a pair of slip-ons from Payless (remember Payless?!) from high school, and those are still loose even with thick socks. So rather than going up to size 3 in these Vans, I decided to keep them and wear them with thin liner socks.
These leopard Vans slip-ons are currently still available in sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 youth; and shipping is free! I would definitely recommend checking these out if you’re looking for a chic pair of comfortable, flat shoes that are easy to pop on and go.
