Sparkle & Shine: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Glisten

I’m in loooooove!! – with my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush that is.

I basically bought this blush because Essie Button raved about them and she makes everything look beautiful and purchase-worthy, and so I purchased me some blush.

=D =D =D =D  It’s so pretty it hurts to look at it.

One of the issues I was having with the blush that I was using was that it seemed to wear off by the end of the day.  Being the makeup newbie that I am, I thought that that was just a fact.  Blush fades.  Period.  That’s what I thought until I heard about these Tarte blushes on Essie Button’s channel and how they were “12-hour” blushes.  Wait – what? blushes can last that long?  Shut the front door.

I purchased the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in the shade Glisten.  This was an easy and natural choice for me – this one has shimmer, the others do not.  Need I say more?  I’ll take any chance to sparkle and shine =).  You can’t really see the shimmer in these photos, but when you compare Glisten to the other shades in store, it’s blatantly obvious.

This blush goes on beautifully and EVENLY.  I didn’t even realize my old blush was lacking in terms of getting a smooth and even application until I used the Tarte blush.

It’s super pigmented, which means the color will stick around for a much longer time (exactly what I needed!).  On that note, since it is super pigmented, I personally use a stippling brush to stipple it onto my cheeks, rather than brushing it on with a traditional blush brush.  I’ve been using a stippling brush from Elf that I bought from Target for under $10…maybe even under $5?

    1. That’s the problem, they have sooo many pretty colors! I really want Tipsy (coral) for the warmer months and Flush (purple) for the winter months, but I don’t think my wallet can take it =/

      1. I know. There’s honestly like 6 that I want and they are expensive too. But they are so long lasting. If you buy one, you’ll have it for 5 years! Super pigmented and long lasting. I was pretty impressed. Do you have any other colors or just the one that you posted about?

    1. I use the powder foundation and it’s awesome. I actually did a blog post on it a little while ago. I’m thinking I might also try the liquid foundation in the winter when my face tends to be a bit drier.

    1. You should go for it! They work great and the packaging is so pretty, which is an extra bonus =)
