A couple weeks ago, I wrote a blog post where I wore a beautiful terracotta red chunky cardigan from Abercrombie. This week, I wanted to share another find from Abercrombie, this cozy dolman sleeve chunky cardigan, to add to your wish list for fall 2020.
I went through a phase in high school and college where I accrued so much clothing, a lot of which I admittedly didn’t wear. One overflowing area of clothing in my closet was sweaters, sweatshirts, and cardigans. After college, I started purging my closet and only keeping pieces I truly loved, and significantly reduced the amount of sweaters and the like that I had.
Now I carefully curate my closet, carefully figuring out the gaps, and mulling over every purchase for ages. For the past two years, I’ve felt that my fall/winter wardrobe was missing a basic, neutral, versatile cardigan.
After two years of debate, I figured this purchase was justified. Abercrombie offers a great selection of basic pieces like this, and – most importantly to me – in small sizes. I purchased this cardigan in cream in size XXS. Like the terracotta cardigan from my previous post, the sleeves fit fine without cuffing, but I cuff the sleeves to give them a chunkier look.
The cardigan fit perfectly. However, because of the dolman sleeves and draped front style, there is a lot of extra material in this cardigan. I found myself readjusting the many drapes and layers several times throughout the day. If you prefer a zero-fuss cardigan, this might not be the best option.

I love Abercrombie, I have to check out their cardigans! I feel like I never notice I’m missing a staple sweater until I desperately need one and then forget to shop for one again. Might have to copy you and get this one, it’s so cute!
I think that’s the best way to shop! If you keep needing the same staple piece over and over again, you’ll know it’s worth the purchase!
