Autumn colors are the best. I’ve been so inspired by all the new pieces coming out in varying shades of brown, orange, yellow, and green. A couple weeks ago, I mentioned this golden brown ribbed top from Express, that I paired with a cream pencil skirt for a transitional summer to autumn work outfit. This week, we’re pairing it with a pair of gray wool trousers.
I originally pictured this top fully tucked into the trousers, but that turned out to be too tight a fit, so I opted for a semi tuck just in the front, and I really enjoyed the relaxed fit and look! I also liked the juxtaposition of a more masculine, relaxed trouser with sleek, pointy toe flats.
I’ve reviewed both the top and flats in these posts, so if you’re interested in fit information, you can see the full review here:
Express Top: saddle brown, size XXSP
Nicholas Kirkwood Beya Flats: black leather, size 34
Unfortunately, the pants are a very old pair of pants from dELiA*s that are no longer available.
