Feminine, flowy, and flirty – what’s not to love? Oh, and don’t forget the dots! While I was on vacation a few weeks ago, I stopped by a Banana Republic outlet store and picked up a few pieces, including this blouse and two pairs of pants that I reviewed in my last post here. Today, I wanted to share a review of this petite-friendly dotted wrap blouse.
Size & Fit
I purchased this top in size petite XXS. There a few features I like about this blouse:
– There are two tie points. The bottom layer has a string, which you tie to a string on the inner left side of the blouse. This helps secure the the wrap blouse, but also helps to tighten the waist if you’d like a more snug fit. The second point is, of course, the one you can see which ties the bottom layer to the top layer.
– There is a hook and loop closure at the top of the chest area. I like the added security of knowing I can bend down without things being on show.
– The sleeves are short! Even in petite sizes, sleeves are often too long. The sleeves on this blouse sit right below my wrist bone. They are also elasticated, which keeps them from falling any lower.
For reference, tops that are 22″-23″ are normally hip length on me, like this top.
I would normally wear this blouse with black flared pants for work. Today was my day off, but I had a business casual meeting, so I decided to wear it with my ponte leggings from Loft and some comfy black flats from Nicholas Kirkwood.
