New Shoes! : Adeline Venettini Lace-Up Bootie & Outfit

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of black lace-up booties for well over a month now.  Every pair I looked at had something that wasn’t quite right about it – too many buckles, too chunky, not well made, not in my size, you name it.  After several weeks of hunting, I finally found a pair I was satisfied with, and it cost me a whopping $22 + shipping!

I found these Adeline Venettini lace-up booties in the kids section of Nordstrom Rack.  They tick off all the boxes – plain and simple design, no extra bells and whistles, not too chunky or bulky in design, and available in my size (I wear women’s size 4, kid’s size 2).  The booties fit true to size.  Even with my thick socks, I have plenty of wiggle room for my toes.  I’ve only worn them for short distances so far, but they felt comfortable when I did wear them.

I paired it with a pair of black leggings and a casual sweatshirt.  I can also see myself pairing them with skinny black pants or jeans with chunky knit sweaters and coats like the one in this post.
