Zara Polka Dot Dress: A Dupe From Boohoo

Not gonna lie – I didn’t know this dress was a thing. If you’re like me and have been living under a rock, this article will get you up to speed. This dress is originally priced at around $70, and is quickly selling out. So today, I thought I’d share with you a dupe for “THAT” Zara polka dot dress, as it’s come to be known.

Size & Fit

My sister gave me this dupe for the Zara polka dot dress from Boohoo for Christmas. This dress is currently on sale for $20.80! For reference, I am 4’11”, and normally wear size XXS-XS or 00-0. Although Boohoo offers petite sizing down to size 0, this dress was only available in regular sizing down to size 2, which is what I’m wearing here.

Considering this dress isn’t petite and is one size larger than my normal size, I think it fits alright! It’s true, the dress is much shorter on the model (mid-calf) than on me, but who cares! I’ll rock it as a maxi dress! Although the dress looks fine without a belt, I liked the silhouette with a belt better on me.

I wanted to show you this dress worn two ways – with flats and with combat boots (see my review of the boots here). If you’re cooler than I am, you can also wear the dress with sneakers!

Personally on me, I don’t like the look of maxi skirts or dresses with shorter jackets or coats. Luckily, my sister also gave me a long pea coat from Boohoo for Christmas to go with the dress (and other things in my closet of course!). Here’s how the dress would look with a coat on:

Unlike the dress, this coat is size 0 petite, and it fits like a glove. With this coat, I can make use of my longer skirts and dresses throughout the cold season!

Even though the style of the coat and dress may not to be everyone’s taste, I absolutely love it! The smudgy dot print is adorable, and the flowiness of the dress is so comfortable.
