I’ve been hoarding my empty products for the past month or so, and now I finally have the chance to sit down and share my thoughts on all the products I’ve used up. Let’s go!
I’ve used up a couple of face care related items recently, including (from left to right): a bottle of Simple Light Moisturizer, a pack of CVS Cotton Rounds, and a bottle of Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. Did I like these products? Yes. Would I repurchase these products? Yes and done.
I’ve also used up several hair care products. First up: dry shampoo. So far, I’ve tried dry shampoos from Dove, Tresemme, Battiste, and Psssst. None work except for the Dove dry shampoo. I tried Tresemme and Battiste first, and actually thought dry shampoo was a gimmick until I tried Dove and realized that it does indeed work. The one downside to any of the dry shampoos is that they do have a fragrance. When I’ve got lotions and body mists and dry shampoo on, it’s just a lot of fragrances blended together.
Sticking to hair care, I’ve also finished up a bottle of OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo, a bottle of Garnier Fructis Hi-Rise Lift that I’ve had for an eternity, and a bottle of Tresemme Thermal Creations heat protectant spray. The coconut milk shampoo smelled amazing and worked well enough, but I have to say I don’t like it better than the Aveeno Pure Renewal shampoo and conditioner that I used previously. The Aveeno one kept my hair cleaner longer, and made my hair feel very smooth. HOWEVER, Aveeno is probably double the cost of OGX, so….yeah. Would I repurchase? If I’m feeling stingy and don’t feel like splurging on Aveeno, then yes.
The Garnier Fructus Hi-Rise Lift was a weird experience for me. Like I said before, I’ve had it for an eternity, and I always thought it didn’t work. Recently, I dug it out of the dust, and decided to give it another go. Lo and behold, it worked amazingly well. I sprayed it at the roots of wet hair, and blow dried my hair upside down, and WOWZAHS, the volume that I got. Sadly, since I’ve had it for an eternity, I don’t think this product is still on the market, BOOOO =(
Lastly in hair care: the Tresemme Thermal Creations heat protectant spray. Everything from Tresemme smells amazing, let’s just start with that. Did it work and would I repurchase it? Honestly? I don’t know. It’s hard for me to tell if a product like that is actually working. My hair still did look a bit dry at the ends, which is where I flat iron it, so maybe it didn’t work? Anyhow, I’m trying one from Got2B now.
On to the miscellaneous things. I finished an Arm & Hammer Ultra Max Solid Antiperspirant Deodorant, a Beauty360 Lip Balm, CVS Women’s Daily Gummies, and a candle. I’ve already repurchased the antiperspirant and lip balm. These are two products I stand by. I’ve tried other antiperspirants and lip balms, and nothing seems to work as well. One down side is that I prefer the unscented antiperspirant, which is only available online (I get mine from Amazon). In stores, the fresh scent is available, but I personally think it smells a bit manly. One thing to note: I use the Arm & Hammer as an antiperspirant, and it works wonderfully well for that. Since I don’t need a deodorant, I don’t know how effective Arm & Hammer would be as a deodorant, for those who want to use it for that purpose. The Beauty360 (a CVS beauty brand) lip balms chump EOS, Burt’s Bees, and the Nivea Lip Butter.
The gummies…are just gummies. They’re tasty, fruity gummies. I wouldn’t mind repurchasing this one, although I do think I slightly prefer the Nature Made ones. Their fruity scent is just more appealing to me than the CVS ones.
Lastly, the candle is one that I bought from Walmart for like $3? Crazy cheap, compared to Bath & Body Works candles, which retail for $22 each. I got the scent Cozy Comfort, and it literally smells like cozy, comfortable goodness. It was a very nice, light, soothing, tolerable scent, and I was really sad to have to let it go. Would I repurchase it? Probably.
Well, that’s all for my empties. Congrats if you made it through to the end.
Love that shampoo!
That Tresemme heat tamer leave in spray is the bomb.com!
