We’re just 3 days away from that wonderful time of year, when the air is crisp and cold, but you get to bundle up in cozy tights, sky high boots, sweater dresses, and peacoats. With every change in the seasons, I get the itch to both buy new items I’ve been coveting for the season, and to pull out old favorites from the year before. So with sweater weather just around the corner, what’s on your wishlist for the season? What old favorites are you busting out again for Fall 2016?
My fall picks:
From left column to right column, top to bottom: J.Crew Icon Trench Coat, Quay Australia Invader Shades, Sam Edelman Reyanne Spike Rand Pointy Toe Flats , Burberry Classic Cashmere Scarf in Check, Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Flirtatious
J. Crew Icon Trench Coat
There’s something so chic and elegant about a classic trench coat. I’ve always been enamored with the idea of strutting to work in a structured trench coat, looking ladylike and all business. There are many options on the market, varying in price, material, and detail. This one from J. Crew is on the pricier end, at $365, but its sizing extends down to a petite 000, so it may be a good option for smaller ladies.
Quay Australia Invader Shades
Even though it’s sweater weather, the sun still continues to shine. Cat eye sunglasses have just the right combination of ladylike and edginess that would pair perfectly with a classic, structured trench coat.
Sam Edelman Reyanne Spike Rand Pointy Toe Flats
I mentioned in my previous post about wardrobe staples that a pair of basic, classic, black flats is essential to any wardrobe. A pointy toe just kicks it up a notch, adding a little bit of that structure from the trench coat and pointy cat eye glasses into your shoes.
Burberry Cashmere Scarf in Check
Google “Burberry trench coat and check scarf”. How stylish do those ladies look in those pictures? Case and point =)
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Flirtatious
Fall is the time to bust out some bold lip colors. I often opt for anything in the red or berry family. I mentioned in previous posts how much I love the Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. Another good option is the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Flirtatious.
So what’s on your wishlist this fall?
I love those pointy toed shoes!!! I feel like they tell the kids that you mean business!!!
That’s a very good point, and very true! I’m always tempted to venture into children’s shoes because they’re less expensive, but they all have rounded toes. I’m trying to be good about sticking to women’s shoes now because that pointy toe really makes a difference! They’re much more mature and business-like.
