Target Has a Birkenstock Dupe for a Bargain!

Have you wanted a pair of Birkenstocks, but were deterred by the price?

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about my road trip to Maine. I took a bathroom selfie wearing this romper, but the mirror wasn’t long enough to show my shoes. Today I wanted to share a review of the shoes I was wearing – a Birkenstock dupe from Target.

Size & Fit

These are the Mad Love “Scarlett” sandals from Target. How similar are they to the Birkenstock Arizona sandals? I purchased the Scarlett in girls’ size 2. I normally wear women’s size 4, or girls’ size 2, and these fit true to size.

One major pro to the Scarlett sandals is how incredibly soft the footbed is. If you’ve read reviews of Birkenstock sandals, you’ll know people complain about the painful break in period before the sandals start to feel like they were made for your feet. Personally, I haven’t had many issues breaking in my Arizona sandals, but I will say they don’t have the softest footbed.

The straps on the Scarlett sandals also have a roomier fit compared to the straps on the Arizona sandals.

These Mad Love sandals are available in kid (called “Scarlett”) and adult (called “Keava”) sizes. Personally, I haven’t tried the adult sizes because they’re too large for me, but my older sister has, and she says they’re super comfortable. She was actually the one who recommended them to me!

Price-wise, the Scarlett is currently $19.99, and is available in cognac, white, and animal print. The Keava is currently $22.99, and is available in cognac, taupe, and black leather. The white color is sold out. In comparison, the Birkenstock Arizona is around $60 for kids and $100 for adults. I have nothing against Birkenstocks, and enjoy the pair I own, but this Birkenstock dupe from Target are an excellent, affordable alternative.
