Cat & Jack at Target: Cat Flats Review

Meow! It was only a matter of time before cat flats made their way back into my closet. I owned a pair of cheap cat flats from Gap Kids years ago, which I literally wore to death. After I reluctantly retired that pair, I ummed and ahhed over a designer version from Charlotte Olympia so long that they discontinued the shoes. Then Target brought out these adorable cat flats for kids, and they piqued my interest. So today, I thought I’d share a review of the Cat & Jack cat flats from Target for anyone who might be interested.

Sizing

I wish these came in half sizes! I’m a size 4 in women’s shoes and size 1.5-2 in kids’ shoes. Size 2 in these flats were too big, and size 1 was too small. I ended up buying a pair in size 2, but I have heel liners inside and I’m wearing thin no-show socks to help fill the gap. With heel liners and socks, I’m able to keep them on my feet.

Comfort

These…are not comfortable. When I had my Gap Kids pair, they were made of a fabric-y material inside, which was flexible, molded to my feet, and became more and more comfortable over time. These ones from Cat & Jack feel more cardboard-like. They feel cheap and stiff, and might be uncomfortable with long periods of wear (I’ve haven’t tried).

Overall Thoughts

Despite these not being my most comfortable flats, would I still recommend them? YES! They’re adorable! And they’re only $15! These flats are an example of “you get what you pay for.” For the price, I can’t be surprised or disappointed that they feel cheap and stiff. And when they make me this happy, they’re totally worth the $15.

I hope you liked seeing these cat flats from Target’s Cat & Jack, and I hope you found this review helpful! Until next time…
