I Wear Bright Colors in the Fall

Yellow Jacket with Autumn Scarf and Ankle Boots

It’s been a week guys, it’s been a week. We lost power at work for 4 days from the Nor’easter a couple weeks ago, and we’re still reeling from the effects, trying to play catch up and all. So it’s been a hectic and stressful past couple weeks to say the least, and taking blog pictures fell on the backburner for a bit. But I’m back, with an outfit to show to you how to wear bright colors in the fall.

I had a doctor’s appointment on Friday, and I wanted to wear something comfortable and casual, but cute. The temperature ranged from mid 30s to mid 40s (Fahrenheit) outside, but I was just going to be driving for 45 minutes and then walking only a minute to the office, so I figured light layers were fine.

On top, I wore a camisole under a thin lace-trimmed sweater. For layers, I threw on a bright yellow jacket and a scarf in autumnal colors. On the bottom, I wore plain black leggings with bunched up boot socks and ankle boots.

I normally wear bright colors in spring and summer, but sometimes I think they work in the colder months. Even though this jacket is bright and sunny, I think it complements the orange and brown autumnal hues well.

I hope any fellow Northeasterners made it through the storm safe and sound. My next blog post probably won’t be up until after Thanksgiving, so I wish everyone a happy holiday with loved ones. My family and I are having Vietnamese food for Thanksgiving. Whether or not traditional American Thanksgiving food is on the menu is yet to be determined. Until next time…

. . . .

Thanks for reading!

    1. Thank you! It was a hand-me-down from my sister, which makes it even better since it was free! I agree; you can wear bright colors in the fall and even in the winter. They help brighten up those cold gray days.
