Nordstrom Anniversary Sale & Abercrombie Sale Picks

Nordstrom is currently having their anniversary sale, which runs through July 31, 2022. I picked up a few pieces from them to try, as well as a couple of pieces from the Abercrombie sale. Since there’s still time to snag these pieces at the sale prices, I wanted to share my picks from the Nordstrom anniversary sale and Abercrombie sale (AF is not an event, but they always have great finds on sale).

Zella Studio Lite Crop Leggings

I bought a pair of the Zella Live In High Waist Pocket 7/8 Leggings in 2020, and thought it would be fun to try a different cut. I’m 4’11” and about 85 lbs, and wearing size XXS here. On me, the cropped leggings fit more like the 7/8 leggings do on the model. I really did want to own a pair of capri length leggings, but I’m not at all surprised that these weren’t capri length on me since they’re not petite sizing.

When I first tried these on, the top of the waistband didn’t have much give. I’m pretty sure I heard a couple threads tearing, and immediately thought I was going to return them. When I tried them on again for the blog pictures, I pulled them on more carefully, and didn’t hear any threads tear. Both times, they felt comfortable once they were on, so I’m leaning towards keeping them now.

Zella Live In High Waist Pocket 7/8 Leggings

Soooo I bought these by mistake. I wore my Live In leggings so often in the fall and winter, that I was going to buy the High Waist Studio Lite Pocket 7/8 Leggings as a back up pair, but somehow added the wrong one to my cart. Woops!

I’m also wearing XXS here, and they fit like regular length leggings. Unlike the cropped pair, the waistband on these has a normal amount of stretch that I would expect from a pair of leggings. They have big pockets on the sides, which can comfortably fit my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I’ve worn these on hikes with my phone in one pocket and my card wallet in the other – very convenient for keeping my hands free while on the move!

SPANX Kids’ Faux Leather Leggings

I’m really excited about these! I’ve never owned leather or faux leather leggings, but I’ve always wanted to try them. I’m wearing size L (10-12) here. The waist and legs fit nicely, although the length is a little long. On the left is the natural length; on the right, I’ve cuffed about 1.5 inches inwards. I cuff other leggings I own too, so I’m not bothered by that.

Abercrombie Sale Picks

Women’s Sherpa Half-Zip Elevated Trim Sweatshirt

It was 95 degrees F outside when I took this picture! I had to blast the AC for this one – and yes, I did wear my own shirt underneath to keep the sweatshirt clean 😉 .

I’ve seen this pretty mauve color in a couple A&F sweatshirts. The mauve color is never the one on sale. So when I saw this on sale for $32.99, I caved, even though I really don’t need more sweatshirts in my closet. For the most part, A&F sizing is pretty dependable. Unfortunately, this sweatshirt was too big on me in size XXS. The longer length in the torso is actually good for leggings, but the sleeves are longer than I would like. The wrists are slightly elasticated, so the sleeves will technically stay in place, but I’m not keen on the bunching.

This sweatshirt is currently out of stock in mauve, and only available in one size (XXL) in gray, but A&F carries this style of sweatshirt all the time, so I would definitely check back if you’re interested.

Seamless Fabric Tank Bodysuit

I think this it the 6th(?) bodysuit I own from A&F. They’re just so versatile! I currently own long sleeve and short sleeve bodysuits from them in varying fabrics, but I wanted a tank top version for summer. This is on sale for $36, which is a little pricey for a tank top, but I know I’ll wear it enough to make it worth it. I can wear this on its own in the summer, or underneath cardigans in the fall and winter.

They have different variations of the tank top under the same link, which is a little confusing. They have cotton, fabric, and ribbed. I’m wearing XXS in the white fabric version, which fits like a glove. It’s also double lined, which I really appreciate for white shirts.
