Spring Outfit: Paperbag Mom Jeans & Sneakers

Oh guys…I would not be surprised if I catch a cold after this weekend. I underestimated how windy it was going to get while we were out, and thought I’d be just fine in a t-shirt. Let’s just say I ended up in my husband’s hoodie, who’s 6′ tall while I’m 4’11”, and it was NOT a cute look. Underneath it though, was a spring outfit that WAS cute with a graphic t-shirt, paperbag mom jeans, and sneakers.

At least I got to wear my outfit as planned at the garden center, which was our second stop of the day. I LOVE going to the garden center. Everything is so colorful, and beautiful, and puts me in the best mood. Although it’s springtime, it’s still chilly some days, so we decided to stick to indoor plants until we can rely on the warm weather. We ended up bringing home a little basil plant and a pepper plant.

For our trip to the garden center, I thought it would be very fitting to wear my “you make my heart skip a beet” t-shirt. I don’t usually buy graphic t-shirts, but I saw this one at Primark and it made me chuckle. I tucked it into a pair of paperbag mom jeans in a light wash, which is currently my favorite wash for spring. To tie it all together, I wore a pair of white Keds sneakers to match the t-shirt. It’s an easy outfit formula that I wear often – a white or partly white top, light wash high-waisted jeans, and white Keds.

After the garden center, we sat down for lunch at a new fusion Asian restaurant. In last weekend’s blog post, I mentioned that we went to a Vietnamese pho restaurant for lunch. To be different this weekend, I went for pad Thai and a Thai iced tea, while husband went with drunken noodles and a Thai iced coffee. Bellies loaded, we made one last stop at Target to buy a vase I’ve had my eye on before calling it a day.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I styled this spring outfit with a graphic t-shirt, paperbag mom jeans, and sneakers! Do you have a go-to outfit formula?
