I’m a Simple junkie. And by Simple, I mean the Simple line of skincare products. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried 95% of products that Simple has come out with, and I thought I’d share some of my thoughts on these products, in case anyone is interested in checking them out. Without further ado, let’s get on to the products!
FOR KEEPING YOUR FACE NICE AND CLEAN:
I’ve been using the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash and the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub religiously for so long. They’re both very gentle and not irritating to the skin at all. The wash is liquidy and does not foam up when applied. Simple does have a foaming wash if you prefer a wash that foams when applied, which I have not tried. The scrub, of course, is more gritty. It is a lightly to moderately milled texture. I would say something like the St. Ives facial scrub would be more gritty and harsher on the skin in comparison. I use the facial wash every day and the scrub once weekly.
FOR KEEPING YOUR SKIN SOFT AS A BABY’S BOTTOM:
Every morning, I start my day with the Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer. Simple does offer I believe two other types of moisturizers, but I’ve always used this one because it has SPF. Just like the wash and scrub, this moisturizer is very light and gentle on the skin. At night, I use the the Simple Nourishing Day/Night Cream. This has a thicker consistency, which I kind of enjoy for overnight use because I feel like it’s more…well…nourishing…for my skin, but that could be just an illusion. Although it says it is a day/night cream, I think I prefer using the first moisturizer during the day because it’s lighter. I think the day/night cream would be a little too heavy for daytime wear. When I remember, I use the Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On on my undereye area. To be quite honest, I’m not sure this does anything, but it feels nice! The metal ball feels cooling on the skin, and the skin under my eyes feels nice and taut when the product dries. Not sure I would repurchase this one though…
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, FOR RETURNING YOUR SKIN TO ITS NATURAL STATE:
For removing makeup, I use the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. I used to use the Simple Facial Wipes, which are also a great product, but I feel like micellar water is less chemicaly than wipes. Plus, I wear so little makeup that I didn’t think wipes were really necessary. I probably would recommend still washing your face after you wipe off your makeup with the micellar water, but to be honest, I wear so little makeup that sometimes I get lazy and just wipe it off with the micellar water and call it a day. Bad, I know! So sometimes I use micellar water as a lazy way to “wash” my makeup off, and other times I use micellar water just on my eyelids to remove eyeliner before I use actual face wash so that my face wash doesn’t smear my eyeliner and give me panda eyes.
That’s all I have for my review today. I hope some of you found this helpful. Let me know in the comments down below if you’ve tried these products or if you have favorite products of your own that you stand by.
