Betabrand Review Petite Yoga Dress Pants

Today I’m excited to share with you a new brand I discovered, whose products are very in line with what I’m currently looking to add to my work wardrobe: Betabrand. Betabrand makes yoga dress pants. If you read this old blog post, you’ll know that I do indeed wear yoga pants to work. And I’m constantly on the hunt for new and better yoga dress pants brands. So today, I though I’d share a review of a couple of Betabrand petite yoga dress pants.

The first pair I tried is the classic bootcut in the color Savile (pictured above). Betabrand offers sizes XS to XXL, and in four different inseams: short petite, petite, regular, and long. The inseam measure 28″, 30″ 32″, and 34″ respectively. I ordered these in size XS short petite. The XS sits right above my hip bone (I have 28″ hips). They’re not as snug as I’d prefer, but they won’t fall off either. The inseam is the perfect length when I wear my Crocs clogs, but with flats they’d be too long (I’m 4’11”).

Throughout the day, the material does stretch and show knee marks. It’s not to the point where I need to hoist my pants up, but it would be nice if they didn’t stretch out at all. I’m afraid to dry them because they might shrink, so I hung them up to dry, and they washed just fine.

The second pair I tried was the six-button bootcut in black. I ordered these pants in the same size as the first pair. While the hips and length fit fine, the waist was huge! That was disappointing because I liked that the six-button style mimicked actual dress pants.

I would still recommend Betabrand as a resource for petite dress pants, because they have a wide range of sizes, including the elusive 28″ inseam. It’s also rare that I find dress pants that fit my 24″ waist off the rack. Just be mindful that there are sizing inconsistencies, so you might have to do some trial and error. For me, I’m assuming I can safely order additional colors of the classic bootcut style.

Have you tried Betabrand or something similar? If you’ve tried other brands that you’ve liked, let me know in the comments down below so I can check them out!
