Black Friday Already? | Early Deals

One of these years, I’m going to be an organized adult who has my sh*t together enough to have my Christmas shopping done early, and when Black Friday sales are happening so I can save some coins. If you’re one of those super-adults who already do this, I wanted to share a list of some stores that are already offering Black Friday deals. With shipping delays due to COVID this year, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start Christmas shopping even earlier this year!

Abercrombie

Current Deal: 40% off throughout the store

Good for: casual basics, business-casual blouses for work, cozy knits, and in small sizes

Some of my favorites pieces I’ve purchased from Abercrombie this year were a couple of basic bodysuits and cozy cardigans for fall and winter. I also have several of their blouses in my shopping cart that I’m thinking of adding to my work wardrobe.

I’m in my late 20s, and their styles appeal to me because the feel neither too young nor too old for my age. They offer a wide range of sizes, and their smaller sizes are truly small, which is great if you’re a thin petite like myself, and struggle to find clothes small enough to fit. While their full-price items can be steep, their sale prices are pretty reasonable.

H&M

Current Deal: up to 50% off online and in-store, 20% off $60 plus free shipping

Good for: elevated basics, knitwear, affordable prices

Back when trips to the mall were more routine, H&M was one of the stores where I’d do the most damage. H&M has both trendy, fast-fashion pieces as well as more basic pieces you can recycle year to year. Personally, I gravitate towards what I call “elevated basics” – plain t-shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, what have you, with an extra, simple detail in design.

Sizing at H&M is hit or miss. Sometimes my regular size fits like a glove, sometimes it’s massive. They recently allowed customers to leave reviews on their site, which has helped me quite a bit in deciding whether a piece will fit or run large.

Uniqlo

Current Deal: Black Friday kick-off event, reduced prices through 11/26

Good for: men’s basics

Of course, Uniqlo offers more than just men’s basics. Personally for me, I’ve never had luck finding pieces at Uniqlo because I find their sizing far too generous. However, my husband recently purchased several waffle-knit tees and flannel shirts from them that we both really liked. We looked at several other sites (including the ones above!), but the men’s styles were too trendy for his liking (for reference, he’s 32). I might revisit Uniqlo’s women’s section, and try some of their knitwear pieces as a looser fit.

The Body Shop

Current Deal: 30% off sitewide

Good for: body butters, body mists, shower products, etc.

This year, many people are working from home, going out less, and have less need for new clothes to wear. Why not gift those people in your life some products to pamper themselves while they’re housebound?

The Body Shop makes amazing body butters – they smell fantastic and they’re so moisturizing. Over the years, I’ve finished several tubs of their body butters and still use them, especially during the winter.

Like everybody else, I like to smell good, but I CANNOT stand the smell of most perfumes. One small spritz on my body and the intensity of the scent will give me a migraine for the rest of the day. So instead, I opt for perfume rollerballs (if the scent is tolerable) or body mists. As with the body butters, The Body Shop also makes great smelling body mists. One drawback to body mists is that the scent doesn’t last all day, but I would rather have the scent wear off than have a migraine all day!

More and more stores will be rolling out Black Friday deals and other deals as the holiday season nears, and I hope to share another post like this soon. Drop a like down below and leave me a comment if you enjoyed seeing these Black Friday deals!
